Missing a Course?

If a course isn’t showing up in Folio, don’t stress! If the semester hasn’t started yet, your instructor might not have activated it. But don't worry—your Day1Access materials will be available on the first day of classes, even if the course isn't active. If you're concerned, feel free to drop your instructor an email.

Billing and Payment:

No Surprises!

As soon as you register for a Day1Access course, the charge for your materials automatically appears on your Student Billing Account. Here's what to expect:

  • Timing: Charges pop up on the first day of the month the semester begins.
  • Label: Look for a "Bookstore Charge" on your Student Billing Account.
  • Financial Aid: If you have financial aid, any leftover funds beyond tuition and fees will go towards these materials. If financial aid doesn’t cover it all, you’ll need to pay the difference through your myGS portal.

Opting Out:

Need an Escape Plan?

You can opt out of Day1Access if it’s not your jam. Here's how:

  • How to Opt-Out: Head over to Folio, click on your course link, and locate the course content. The deadline to opt-out is 11:59 PM on January 16th for the Spring 2025 semester.
  • Post Opt-Out: If you opt-out, the access will be removed from Folio, and you'll see a refund on your student account within 2 business days. You'll need to purchase materials on your own.
  • Change Your Mind? No worries! If you accidentally opt-out, just email textbooks@georgiasouthern.edu or visit the University Store to get back into the Day1Access program.
